NO BOXES

You should always try to learn something new every day!

It helps instill confidence, enhance quality of life, reduce stress, and improve mental health.

I recently took my advice and revisited Python coding. Not only will relearning this programming language help provide better web development aspects to my websites, but it will also, more importantly, initiate “outside the box” or “no box” thinking. I love the thought of total freedom; nothing is holding me back!

Don’t think outside the box. Think like there is no box. -Ziad K. Abdelnour

REALLY, MONTY ?

Yes, Python language was named after Monty Python!

According to Python.org, “When he began implementing Python, Guido van Rossum was also reading the published scripts from ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’…he needed a name that was short, unique, and slightly mysterious, so he decided to call the language Python.”

IT’S PURPOSE

Python is an easy-to-learn programming language that is useful in back-end web development, web application building, and scientific research. You can find this programming language in speech recognition, financial services, and even the recommendations.

One of its main advantages is its scalability. One real-world example is Dropbox, which is written in Python.

“Dropbox, a famous file hosting service, was started by Drew Houston because he kept forgetting his USB memory stick as a student. He began the project for his personal needs, but others began using it because the product was so good. Dropbox is written in Python, so a prototype was created instantaneously, and funding was secured soon. In October 2011, Dropbox had 50 million registered users. In November 2012, the number of users reached 100 million.” (source)

THE CHALLENGE

I am taking the “100 Days of Code” Challenge. This challenge allows me to form better habits, increase my skill set, become consistent, and improve my coding self-esteem. See more about this and other challenges at the  #100 Days of Code website. And you can learn more about me, too!

SIMPLE CODE- DAY 1

Are you learning something new? Good advice is to start with short, straightforward projects and avoid getting discouraged or overwhelmed.

Here is my first Python coding challenge. I know it is pretty simple, but hey … you have to start somewhere. Right?

This coding allows users to answer questions and create their “Movie Star” name. Give it a try- (to start, click the green arrow below)
