The website design and development showcase the talents of dancer, instructor, and choreographer, Simone Nichols Pace. She is the daughter of the legendary “Grandfather of Modern Clogging”, Bill Nichols.
Simone posts her extensive catalog of clogging and buck dancing steps and routines for free public download. Many of the catalog entries are featured with videos listed on her YouTube channel.
Simone travels worldwide sharing her knowledge, dancing creativity, Applachian dance history, and encouragement.

Simone wished to express her personality with an overall appeal of “friendly, family, and fun”.
The website includes a simple HOME page proudly boasting the beauty of the North Carolina mountains, a photo taken by her father, Bill Nichols. Users can view download a wide variety of clogging cue sheets for all skill levels. Other web pages highlight her personal history, skills, credentials, request form for questions or bookings.
Design.
The website includes a simple HOME page with easy navigation to the site’s other pages.
On the desktop and tablet versions, the cue sheet section displays the wide variety in a grid/image format with options for categorizing them by skill level or video availability. The mobile version offers the cue sheets in a tab/ list format categorized by skill level and appropriate YouTube links if appropriate.
All the cues sheets are available for download in a .pdf format.
Development.
Links to the client’s large variety of social media accounts drive more visitors to the website.
The site utilizes compressed images, consistent catalog entry layouts, YouTube, and .pdf links that open in a new window.
When appropriate, scalable graphic vectors (.svg), are used on the website to provide good resolution.
Google analytics are utilized for tracking the number of visitors to the website.
Search Engine Optimization using Yoast SEO increases the results of relevant Internet queries. Pages contain the necessary focus words and meta descriptions.
Meeting security needs, the site provides an adequate security certificate (SSL).
