The website was designed and developed for the political candidacy of Republican Bob Blake. Colonel Blake ran for the 1st District Congressional Seat of Florida in 2016. After his campaign ceased, Blake (US Air Force Colonel, Retired) continues to post relevant information regarding his military experience and political views.
Design.
The site includes a parallax scrolling design to attract a wide range of voters, especially those under 50. It also includes a personal blog, downloadable petition, and submission form.
Development.
“Recaptcha” validation and other appropriate security measures, such as SSL certificates, protect the site from spam and malware. Links to social media drive more visitors to the site. Google Analytics is utilized for tracking the number of visitors to the website. Search Engine Optimization using Yoast increases the results of relevant Internet queries.
